Station situation
The Poole Wendy Windblows machine is installed on top of the premises of FC Watersports, 4 Banks Rd, Sandbanks. There is a screen display of the weather in the windsurfing shop there.

Interpreting Readings
The station was only installed on 13th March 2003, so we have no local- calibration experience yet - feedback from users is welcome, so if you find, say, that it under-reads in certain direction (because of trees or buildings nearby) please let us know, and we can adjust the calibration to reduce the errors.
Regarding Tide Times: High Tide times are extremely erratic, and difficult to predict accurately in Poole Harbour. We have done our best, but these are only approximate. Low Tide times are more important to Windsurfers, etc, and these can be relied on. more...
